Who are we ?
Celsius roasting was born in 2022, from our partnership: Nicolas, originally from Brittany, and Lucas, from Savoie. After two similar career paths in business schools, we met during a marketing internship within a wine and spirits group in the Paris region. A strong shared passion already brought us together: wine, and more generally, the taste for good things.
Six years later, the time had come to offer our own taste experience. Specialty coffee has become a true passion of ours, reminiscent of the sensations we experience with wine, so we decided to take the path of coffee roasting to offer you our own interpretation.
So we imagined Celsius through these values:
Precision
We are guided by taste and strive for the best possible quality. However, we know that taste is subjective, and the real challenge is to seduce the consumer's palate while respecting our standards. This is the balancing act we choose to follow, between progressive support in the world of specialty coffee and the continuous search for exceptional products, for aficionados and occasional amateurs alike, avoiding any dogma or established rules.
Responsibility
Far from us the idea of following a "green" or "CSR" discourse like ticking a box, we at Celsius strive to always limit our carbon emissions and waste, but also to build a virtuous relationship throughout the chain. This involves, among other things, eco-design, bicycle transport and the sharing of technical resources (particularly related to roasting). It also means paying for quality coffee at a fair price that allows us to fairly remunerate the coffee producer. We want to create a long-term relationship with them in order to participate in the healthy and trustworthy development of the coffee industry. We are committed to a continuous improvement process on this point, and are completely open to potential comments, which would allow us to progress or to explain the reasons for our choices.
Sincerity
After taking stock of our current consumption of all products, we realized that the brands that spoke to us, of which we were loyal consumers, were the sincere brands. Those that communicated about their successes , but also their difficulties and sometimes even their failures . It is a real source of inspiration for us, we want to be able to answer questions freely, without leaving anything unsaid. A sincerity that we want to find in all links of the chain: in our relationships with our suppliers, on the transparency of the information disclosed on our products and that we find on the packaging and finally towards our customers on all our decisions and directions taken.
Finally, the passion for coffee as the backbone of the project allows us to support these values day after day in order to offer you the fruit of our work and that of the producers.
