  • Participants : up to 10 people (minimum age 16)
  • Duration : 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Price : €50/person
  • Location : 12 rue des Capucins, Lyon 1st arrondissement (Metro A Hôtel de Ville station)

On the program.

  • A little theory to start:
  1. History and evolution of coffee, from its origins to the present day.
  2. Production: terroir, botany, fermentation process and sustainability
  • The art of roasting : a tour of the workshop, basic concepts, and a real-time simulation on the machine.

  • Introduction to coffee tasting : the "cupping" method (standardized protocol of the coffee industry)
  1. Comparative sensory analyses to understand the differences between coffees: origins, fermentation processes, roasting, etc.
  2. Introduction to the Aroma Wheel

You will leave with:

  • Maximum caffeine levels, enough to last several days without sleep.

  • A pack of Celsius coffee .

  • Real knowledge about coffee, you will know:
  1. How to recognize a good coffee.
  2. Lack of humility with those around you when explaining the coffee production and processing process to them.
  3. How to optimally extract coffee at home.
