One of the biggest barriers to entry into the coffee roasting profession is the cost of equipment.
The main tool, the roaster, generally costs several tens of thousands of euros, and is not used to its full potential when starting a roasting business.
At Celsius, we started by taking advantage of another roaster's investment ( Placid Roasters ), which allowed us to:
- Reducing our carbon footprint by avoiding the purchase of a new machine too early in our development
- To start in premises that matched our limited resources at the outset.
- Spend only according to the quantity of coffee we roast.
- Start roasting coffee by taking advantage of an expert's advice on your machine
- Join the Co-Roasting community to share best practices
It is therefore with great pleasure that we welcome roasters from the region and beyond today, so they can take advantage of this superb machine. We offer a training module to ensure trainees feel comfortable and safe operating the machine. We also guide trainees through roasting profiles to help them avoid mistakes on their first few spits. Afterward, users can roast independently by booking roasting slots in advance.
