With its roasted rice grains, genmaicha is a classic Japanese green tea. Flavorful and very easy to brew, it pairs well with all kinds of meals (from breakfast to afternoon tea), whether sipped at the office or relaxing at home. A great everyday tea, definitely worth a visit.

Genmaicha is often served as an accompaniment in restaurants. As a result, quality is often overlooked. What's the point of using good leaves for such a tea, especially if you're just adding rice? The answer lies in this genmaicha: a first spring harvest of sencha grown without fertilizers, to which rice grains have been carefully selected.

The combination works wonderfully with this beautifully balanced tea, which is both delicate and indulgent.
The roundness and warmth imparted by the genmai (rice grains) are balanced by the freshness and purity of the sencha. Flexible and long-lasting, it allows for numerous infusions and works equally well with small volumes of water or in a large teapot.
