The Origami dripper is handcrafted in Japan using traditional Mino porcelain; its ribbed shape with 20 folds allows for dynamic water flow. Two types of filters can be used:

  • Conical ones to highlight acidity
  • Flat-bottomed ones for more sweetness

Benefits of the Origami

Versatility: Allows you to brew with both conical and flat-bottom filters.

Extraction: The grooves allow for faster water flow than with a V60, resulting in less clogging and brighter acidity.

Design : quite subjective, but considered to be a beautiful object in any kitchen.

Disadvantages of the Origami

Fragile : A beautiful porcelain object unfortunately has the drawback of breaking easily if dropped. Handle with care!

Thermal inertia: we are referring here to the ceramic versions, which ideally require preheating the dripper before starting the extraction. Plastic versions exist, but we do not offer them at this time.
