These tablets are made from beans grown in Tanzania's Kilombero Valley, along Udzungwa National Park, famous for its primates, elephants, and diverse flora. In this warm, humid region with optimal growing conditions, cacao trees grow among shade trees, bananas, corn, and
other cultures, and develop complex fruity and floral aromas.

A quick word about Diggers
Cocoa roasting is still a rare profession in France. The vast majority of chocolatiers buy ready-made chocolate and then create recipes and creations. Olivier and Maxence wanted to focus on the raw material, selecting the beans at the source, then roasting them and putting them through all the necessary steps to make a chocolate bar.
This craft is often called "bean-to-bar" and only concerns a tiny proportion of the chocolates sold in France.
It’s a real tasting experience, similar to what we offer with our specialty coffees.
