A "Single dose" grinder means you can change your coffee like you change your shirt, depending on your mood or the weather. This still involves finding the ideal settings, but allows for minimal retention (i.e., the amount of coffee retained each time).

Option-O is where mechanical obsession meets specialty coffee. Born in Melbourne, the brand has become known for treating the grinder not as a mere tool, but as a precision machine, designed down to the micron. CNC-machined unibody aluminum, tight tolerances, high-torque motors with controlled speed: here, every technical choice serves grinding consistency and design.

The Lagom range embodies this geek chic philosophy and speaks the language of engineers as much as that of baristas, with a modular and scalable approach, oriented towards real performance rather than flashy marketing.

The Casa model, as its name suggests, is designed for home use, without compromising in-cup quality compared to professional models. The main difference lies in its ability to grind large quantities in close succession.

Lagom Casa Advantages

Versatility: Equally at home with filter and espresso. Particularly suited to light roasts.

Retention: Between 0 and 0.1g between each coffee, thanks to the very easy-to-use clicker.

Precision: Devilish, thanks to the 65mm Mizen conical burrs and their slow rotation speed.

Design: Sleek, only 2 buttons.

Practicality: Very little static electricity thanks to aerospace-grade aluminum, and an automatic shut-off function.

Drawbacks of the Lagom Casa

Overheating : The Casa is not designed for back-to-back double espressos. Do not exceed 90 seconds of continuous operation, and allow 90 seconds of rest between each grind to ensure its longevity.

Grind time:Allow between 25 and 35 seconds for a double espresso, and between 20 and 30 seconds for filter coffee. This may seem long to some, but negligible compared to a manual grinder.
